School Activity.                        

1.     Visit.    Maj Gen Praveen Kumar Airy, GOC, 8 Mtn Div vis AGS, Harka Bahadur on 07 Nov 2020 and on 13 Apr 21. He interacted with the teachers and distributed gifts to students of AGS, Harka Bahadur.             

2.     School Activity.             

            (a)       Inter AGS Online Essay Competition.         Inter AGS online essay competition was org in Jul 2020. Students of 8^th class have participated in the said competition. Three students participated in the said competition. Miss Nazia Kousar of 8^th Class secured the third posn in the said competition and was awarded Rs 1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only) as cash prize. 

(b)       Inter AGS Urdu Poetry Recitation Competition.         Inter AGS Urdu poetry recitation competition was org in Aug 2020. Three students of 8^th class of AGS, Harka Bahadur were awarded certificate of participation. Mr Samani Ali secured second posn in the said competition and was awarded Rs 2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only) as cash prize. 

(c)        Hindi Story Writing Competition.  Inter AGS Hindi story writing competition was org during Oct 2020. Three students of 8^th class of AGS, Harka Bahadur were awarded certificate of participation. Miss Anita Budha Magar of 8^th class of AGS, Harka Bahadur secured the third posn in the said competition and was awarded Rs 1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only) as cash prize. 

(d)       Online Art Competition.       Online Art Competition to celebrate World Water Day was org by Vigyan Setu Foundation (VSF) wef 10^th to 15^th Mar 2021. Students of Cl VIII & IV of AGS, Harka Bahadur also participated in the said competition. Painting made by Mr Shujat Ali of Cl VIII of AGS, Harka Bahadur, has been adjudged as “Best” from 8^th Std by the jury. For this, a cert of merit has been awarded to Mr Shujat Ali by Vigyan Setu Foundation.  

School Activities in Academic year in 01 Apr 2021 to 31 May 2022.

1.   First Alumni Meet at AGS Harka Bahadur.  School Alumni Association helps in creating and maint the interest of alumni in their edn guild and motivates them to contribute to their alma matter. Thus a first Alumni meet was org on 03 Apr 2022 at Army Goodwill School, Harka Bahadur.

2. The 8^th Harka Bahadur Memorial Archery Competition . Op Sadbhanva (Goodwill) is an unique human initiative undertaken by Indian Army in the state of J&K and UT of Ladakh to improve the overall core social indices of edn especially women, youth empowerment and hlth care with simultaneous thrust on capacity bldg through implementation of community / infra devp projs.  The 8^th Harka Bahardur Memorial Archery Competition was conducted by 31 RAJPUT under Kargil Sentinels, Social and Educational Welfare Society, Kargil and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Kargil at AGS, Harka Bahadur to uphold the significance of traditional culture of Kargil dist and enhance the trust and bond betn Indian Army and local population.          

3.    Teacher's Selection for AGS, Harka Bahadur. The Selection of Principal, Teachers and Aaya is given below : -

(a)       Teacher’s Selection for the Year 2021-22.   Army Goodwill School, Harka Bahadur provides quality education to the children of border areas of Kargil region where the future of young students is shaped to become responsible & good citizens. Army Goodwill School, Harka Bahadur conducted sel for teachers & staff for the yr 2021-22. A written exam & interview was conducted for the candidates on 14^th & 15^th Mar 2021 respectively.

(b)       Teacher’s Selection for the academic year and 2022-23. Written Test and Interview for selection for Principal, Teachers and Sp Staff for the academic year 2022-23 was conducted at AGS, Harka Bahadur wef 27 Mar 2022 to 30 Mar 2022. A total of 129 candidates (incl  10 candidates for Aaya) applied for the various posts at AGS, Harka Bahadur. Out of which 96 candidates appeared for the written exam on 27 Mar 2022. A total of 64 candidates (incl 10 x Aaya) were shortlisted for interview on 28^th, 29^th and 30 Mar 2022. A total of 28 candidates (incl 03 x Aaya) were finally selected for appt as Principal, Teachers and staff for AGS, Harka Bahadur based on merit.

4.        Online Classes During Pandemic COVID-19.

(a).      Conduct of Classes for All.  To compensate for loss of students caused due to closure of the school because of COVID-19 sit, online classes were conducted through WhatsApp for Class I to X^th. In addition, lecs through All India Radio, Kargil were also broadcasted for mostly higher classes. The response towards online classes was very heartening and positive both from the students as well as their parents. The methodology used for conduct of online classes during the closure pd of the school is as given below:-

(i)         Audio-Visual Classes.  Sharing of audio and audio-visual clips of various topics / subjects via WhatsApp and e-mail accounts to facilitate learning for the students.

(ii)        Sharing of Links.    Various educational value links consisting of YouTube, Google etc were shared with students after research by teachers to facilitate e-learning.

 (iii)      Assignments. Online assignments were uploaded and further checked on completion as         submitted by the students.
